COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT

Community Support Program

"We work together with the community, not for them or to them."

The community takes ownership in advocating as an inclusive network in the field of child protection, in the form of promoting children's right to participation and strengthening effective family-based care of children.

Project Purpose

Strengthening communities and key stakeholders to take responsibility and actively participate in child protection

Program Purpose

  • The Community Support Project works to strengthen communities and key stakeholders, encouraging them to take responsibility and actively participate in child protection and in preventing all forms of child abuse, as well as intervening to prevent unnecessary family separation within their communities.
  • The project works with change agents, including religious leaders/faith groups, community volunteers, parents, and youth groups. They are individuals with a vision for their community, aiming to ensure that especially children receive safety, education, and development.
  • They volunteer their commitment, time, and willingness to help achieve their shared vision and that of the organization by using their knowledge, communication skills, and networking with local authorities, teachers, religious leaders/temples, and caregivers to support child protection.
